A beautiful self catering holiday cottage in Danby, North Yorkshire

The perfect holiday cottage for families or couples on the North York Moors

A large self catering holiday cottage at Danby in the heart of the North York Moors. The North York Moors are well known for their heather moorland, steep grassland dales and stone and pantile houses which stretch from the Cleveland Hills in the west to the high cliffs and coastal villages and towns in the East. The River Esk flows towards the wonderful old whaling port of Whitby which is just 30 mins from the holiday cottage.

The self catering holiday accommodation is perfect for a family get together or couples looking for a romantic retreat.  The Danby Moors are the perfect place to relax and unwind, but for the more active, local attractions include Danby Castle, the Moors Centre and the attractive villages of Castleton, Danby and Lealholm with their shops, pubs and churches.

Further afield there are plenty of ancient towns and cities to visit as well as attractions such as Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Scampston Walled Gardens and Rievaulx Abbey.

Both fishing (trout, sea trout and salmon) and shooting are available locally, otherwise there are miles of walking, riding or cycling.
